The costs associated with lost production resulting from unplanned conveyor downtime can have serious implications for the profitability of a business.
The most effective way to avoid conveyor breakdowns is to undertake proactive maintenance by entering into a conveyor service agreement that includes emergency breakdown cover should the worst happen.
In this way, many unscheduled conveyor stoppages are avoided, routine maintenance can be undertaken at night or another time when the conveyor would not normally be running and potential problems identified and rectified early to prevent an emergency situation; and should an emergency occur it can be dealt with quickly, getting the conveyor running again in the minimum time possible.
At Ace we have taken this approach several steps further. In addition to a preventative maintenance schedule, we also offer tailored service management packages that monitor agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), provide mechanisms to improve these, including maintenance budget management and regular management performance reports.
Recognising that not all customers require this level of service agreement, we provide a series of conveyor maintenance service and repair packages to suit all requirements, from fully contracted to reactive maintenance only.
