Vulcanising Equipment
Ace expertise in conveyor belt vulcanising has led to the development of the current range of Vulcanising Press systems.
Robustly constructed in lightweight aluminium alloy, Ace demountable press systems are easy to handle in even the most awkward spaces, yet tough enough to withstand the harsh treatment they will encounter in regular site use.
Both pneumatic and hydraulic
systems are available, and custom built presses for belt repair and special profile vulcanising. We also make specialist static workshop presses.
Pneumatic System
At Lower pressures, uniform load can be applied by means of the Ace Pneumatic Pressure System. Compressed air is forced into a toughened rubber pneumatic envelope in order to exert even pressure over the full area of the top platen. The compressed air is provided via a portable compressor equipped with associated valves and gauge, which makes the system ideal for on-site work.
Hydraulic System
Higher pressures are typically used for vulcanising steel cord belts. The Ace Hydraulic pressure system works by means of a number of hydraulic cylinders mounted within the transverse beams, operating on the top platen of the press. The series of hydraulic cylinders is connected by means of high pressure flexible hoses with quick release couplings to either manual or electrically operated hydraulic pumps complete with pressure gauge, non-return and relief valves
