Impact Nests
The Ace Impact Nest framework is designed for use directly under the load point on the conveyor. The bars are arranged to form a shock absorbing cradle, providing essential support to the belt in the impact zone. Supporting the belt at this point can have a dramatic effect by improving belt life and associated spillage control problems.
The impact bar system is available as a modular kit of parts for simple on site installation for the whole range of belt sizes and troughing angles.
The Ace Impact Bar is a composite structure of aluminium section, rubber and polyethylene. The rubber is carbon black filled medium quality natural rubber with a shore hardness of around 50, which gives high strength, low compression set and excellent low temperature flexibility.
The polyethylene is ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene grade 1000 – 10mm or 3/8” thick. It is one of the world’s toughest known thermoplastics and has remarkable properties including very low coefficient of friction, high abrasion resistance and nil absorption rate. It has sliding properties well in excess of polished steel and has exceptional wear properties.
